  1. I really respect and like the strong message behind your piece's. All three flow well into one another and at the same time could be their own entity! Nice job and keep up the good work!

  2. Two thoughts here. One positive one negative. I love the message and imagery that you have incorporated into your piece. It really sets the tone and delivers an old message in a new way. I also really enjoy the fact that your image cascades from one to the next. Though this idea was mentioned as a possibility in class, very few people actually incorporated it into their work. Kudos. On the technical side of things, the method by which you cut out images needs a little improving. There's fragments of Rosie the Riveter's background hanging around. If you aren't familiar with quick masking as a method for cutting out images, its a far less tedious and more forgiving method than using the lasso or eraser tools.

  3. One of my favorite parts of these pieces is how Rosie the Riveter is the only person in color. It really makes that part of the collage pop. This is also the first one I've seen that all flows as one piece, but I think that all of your source images should have been used in each one. It's also neat how all of the women in the background are really low opacity. I also really like how you constructed the word "power" out of different magazine cut outs. :)

  4. I enjoy the overall feel of your triptych and how images start in one piece and continue on in another. Also, your use of text throughout each piece is what I find most effective, especially in the right-most piece.

  5. Your triptych is a strong feminist narrative. The evolution of womanhood or "the homemaker" to the suffrage to Rosie the Riveter is in interesting take on the feminist movement. I think your use of repetition of the words of "womanhood", "fearless" and "power" helps further the feminist message. Technically, watch your selections. Some of them are a little messy. Other than that, great work.

  6. Though I think your repetition of text does make it more powerful, I wish you had used the elements in a more interesting way. The various elements of you collage are on the paper together, but there's no interaction between them, just text and image hovering near each other. I think the way you split the group of woman with "womanhood" above them and Rosie the Riveter between panels. I think that was a clever way to move the viewer through your piece as well as satisfy the requirements.
